Lugares hechos de silencio
During my visit to Tokyo, I was lucky to be invited by Design Festa Gallery to paint a mural on their external wall in Harajuku, the creative heart of this enchanting city.
‘Lugares hechos de silencio’ – or ‘Places made out of silence’ – is a typographic reflection of my time in Tokyo.
The city made me think about how places have a unique kind of silence that differentiates them from any other. And the silence and tranquility that I found there was particularly fascinating in contrast with its non-stop pace and conspicuous consumerism.
