Hackers, by Tom Jackson, was my first commission to illustrate a book in its entirety – including the cover and artwork for all 96 pages. The brief gave me plenty of scope to unleash the potential of my visual metaphors, whimsical humour and impossible machines. It allowed to explore my creativity while learning about the history of hacking.
It’s the first book in the ‘What’s the issue?’ series aimed at over 12s but suitable for all ages. The series tackles current subjects, with a focus on critical thinking, debate and encouraging one’s own informed opinions.
