Cristina Guitian is an award-winning illustrator and mural artist. Along with her illustrations for advertising and editorial, Cristina specialises in large scale murals and installations. She is available for commissions and often participates in live events and workshops.

Cristina’s world is filled with visual metaphors and whimsical humour. Happy and uplifting, yet dark, it opens closed doors and throws light into hidden corners. You can see this intriguing energy in the huge 26 and 38 metre murals in the AMC Hospital in Amsterdam, and in her interactive installation for WeTheCurious, the Museum of Science in Bristol.

You’ll see her detailed fine line drawings and minimal colour palette in the book series What is the Issue? and in commissions for a client list that extends from Google and Nike to the Guardian and Headspace.

Over the years, the artist has developed a mythological world of her own, populated by characters with reimagined limbs, and machines that defy the laws of mechanics. Cristina develops her ever playfull experiments under her alter ego Cristina Reyes, with exhibitions in Amsterdam, Barcelona, London, Madrid, New York, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo.
